A 1940s Radio Christmas Carol – December 4-14, 2025
It’s Christmas Eve, 1943, and the Feddington Players are set to present their contemporary “take” on Dickens’s A Christmas Carol. Whether it’s the noisy plumbing, missed cues, or electrical blackouts, this radio show is an entertaining excursion into the mayhem and madness of a live radio show.

“Broadway at the DECC”

Last season brought back the razzle dazzle of Broadway national tours to the DECC with sold-out performances of Chicago, Pretty Woman, Mean Girls, and Riverdance. This year’s lineup features four musicals and a bonus holiday show.

The Book of Mormon – October 28-29, 2025
A 9-time Tony Award®-winning musical that follows a mismatched pair of Mormons sent on a mission to a place that is about as far from Salt Lake City as you can get. Entertainment Weekly calls “The Book of Mormon” “the funniest show ever.” The New York Times simply calls it “the best musical of this century.” The Book of Mormon contains explicit language, situations, and content. Parental discretion strongly advised.

The Duluth Playhouse

Duluth Playhouse offers entertainment, training, and performance opportunities in theatre arts. Founded in 1914, the Playhouse is one of the nation’s oldest non-profit theaters, producing year-round seasons of plays and musicals. The Playhouse opened its season with Million Dollar Quartet. Duluth Superior Orchestra (DSSO)

The DSSO is a fully professional regional orchestra serving the Twin Ports and the Northland. The DSSO’s 2025/2026 season is filled with exciting milestones and unforgettable music. The DSSO began its season with its celebration of Erin Aldridge’s 20th season as concertmaster—an incredible achievement for a truly gifted musician. Later in the season, she will be performing one of her favorite pieces, Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1.

Lyric Opera of the North (LOON)

Loon is a first-class professional opera company bringing both fully staged classic operas and new works, along with special concerts, Little LOON (their touring operas for school children), and special fundraising events each season. Their company includes many talented opera artists, as well as featuring guest artists. After celebrating their 20th anniversary last season, LOON is back with two major operas.

The beloved holiday classic Amahl and the Night Visitors is an opera in one act by Gian Carlo Menotti with an original English libretto by the composer. It tells the touching story of a poor shepherd boy and his mother, whose lives are forever changed by a visit from the Three Kings on their way to Bethlehem.

Matinee Musicale

Matinee Musicale celebrates 125 years of bringing world-class chamber music to Duluth. From rising stars to international virtuosos, they are proud to continue their tradition of offering the Northland the opportunity to experience incredibly talented artists. Minnesota Ballet

Minnesota Ballet is the premier classical ballet company in the Northland. They have provided high-quality performances, pre-professional ballet training, and lively outreach programs. This year, they celebrate their 60th Anniversary, offering audiences vibrant new versions of classic works, faithful interpretations of masterpieces by legendary artists, and new commissions from established and emerging choreographers in a variety of dance styles. Before their season series, they will host the Celebrity Dance Challenge, pairing local celebrities with a Minnesota Ballet professional dancer on October 9.

Rubber Chicken Theater

Rubber Chicken Theater has been writing and performing sketch comedy revues since the group’s inception in 2008. They create funny, original, local theater, created by local theater artists. A playground altercation between eleven-year-old boys brings together two sets of Brooklyn parents for a meeting to resolve the matter. At first, diplomatic niceties are observed, but as the meeting progresses, and the rum flows, tensions emerge and the gloves come off, leaving the couples with more than just their liberal principles in tatters.
